In addition to the investment and advisory activities carried out by NewSmith Asset Management and NewSmith Financial Products, NewSmith Capital Partners invests in principal positions, using the Firm’s own capital. These have included non-competing financial services businesses at an early stage in their development. Currently NewSmith owns 12% of Brockton Capital, a real estate private equity fund manager established in 2006.
