Jean Maigrot is investment leader and portfolio manager for NewSmith’s European equity strategy.
Prior to joining NewSmith, he was Head of Equity Proprietary Trading at ABN Amro, where he led a
number of equity strategies including event-driven, merger arb, long/short and macro. He
has more than 20 years’ experience in European equity markets, and began his career as a trader
in French equities at Société Générale Merchant Bank in 1986.
He graduated LLB (Hons) from the University College of Wales and is bilingual in French and
English.
