Hiroshi Nishimura

Hiroshi Nishimura is head of business development at NewSmith Capital Partners Japan.
He has over 25 years' experience in financial services in Japan and the US.
Prior to joining NewSmith, Hiroshi was General Manager of the investment trust management department
at Yasuda Asset Management, responsible for due diligence and monitoring of products managed by
external investment managers. He formerly worked in several different roles at YAM's parent, Yasuda
Mutual Life Insurance. These included General Manager of Investment at Yasuda PaineWebber Mutual,
head of the credit analysis team (1993-1997) and head of the New York based North American equity
team (1989-1993). Yasuda merged with Meiji Mutual Life Insurance in 2004.
Hiroshi graduated from Yokohama National University with a Bachelor of Economics in 1980.
