Adrian Vanderspuy

Adrian Vanderspuy has over 20 years' experience in many aspects of trading in equity markets with Merrill Lynch and Smith New Court. During his career he has had a strong focus on proprietary trading in a broad cross-section of global markets.

Prior to joining NewSmith he was Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading for Merrill Lynch Europe Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, he spent nine years in Hong Kong and Singapore, eventually as Co-Head of Equity Trading for Merrill Lynch Asia, and prior to that, Head of South Asian Trading at Smith New Court. Adrian played a major role in building both Merrill Lynch's and Smith New Court's leading franchises in Asia.

Before moving to Singapore, Adrian traded equities for Smith New Court in Sydney, Melbourne and London where he began his career. Adrian has a Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of New England in Australia.
