Senior Financial Management Appointments at NewSmith

NewSmith Capital Partners announces today the appointment of Richard Sansom as Partner and Chief Financial Officer, and Gareth Gullick as Partner and Head of Fund Accounting within NewSmith Asset Management.

A Chartered Accountant, Mr Sansom was previously Group Finance Director at the insurance broker, Heath Lambert. He has extensive experience of the financial services industry, having also served as Group Finance Director of Smith New Court PLC (prior to its acquisition by Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. in 1995) and as Regional Controller at Merrill Lynch for its investment banking business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He took up his new role at NewSmith on October 9th 2006.

Mr. Gullick was formerly Deputy Head of Fund Accounting at hedge fund manager Brevan Howard. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Pannell Kerr Forster in 2000, and has also worked in financial control roles at Deutsche Bank and CSFB. Mr. Gullick joined NewSmith on October 2nd.
