Top-rated Strategist joins NewSmith Asset Management

NewSmith Asset Management, the investment management arm of NewSmith Capital Partners, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sadiq Currimbhoy as a partner in the firm. Sadiq will work as a global strategist, advising on macro investment strategies.

Sadiq has over 10 years' experience as a macro and investment strategist in Hong Kong, New York and London. Prior to joining NewSmith, he worked at Merrill Lynch, where he was consistently top-ranked as an Asian Pacific Regional Strategist. Subsequently he was a Global Sector and Investment Strategist, for which he was also top-rated.

Sadiq began his career at Smith New Court. He has a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSc (Economics) Honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and grew up in Hong Kong.
